Last night I ventured into the outskirts of Liverpool City Centre to the Liverpool Olympia to watch The Kooks perform live. The venue itself was an odd choice, especially with loads of venue options, like the O2 academy, within the City Centre.

I’m not a massive The Kooks fan, I only know their most famous songs but I went away from their gig wanting to listen to more! They didn’t interact massively with the audience but that actually didn’t matter, they were really good to just listen to live.

The gig itself was sold out so the only tickets we could manage to get were seated (this was a massive relief to me as I generally don’t enjoy standing because of my anxiety) but it was nice to get a full view of everything. I learnt that people will mosh to anything…
