It was my birthday this week – the ripe old age of 24!

I love using my birthdays to look back on the previous year and reflect on how far I’ve come. This time last year I was unemployed, on the dole and unable to see how this would ever change.

The day after my last birthday I started an internship within a local music festival. The role gave me a massive confidence boost and responsibility. Once my internship had finished, with my new found confidence in tow, I met with a local events agency and as they say – the rest is history! I am now employed within an exciting company with the best team I could imagine.

Anything is possible in a year and I’m excited to reflect this time next year, when I turn 25…eek!!

For now, I’m off to go eat my body weight in cake…
